Harvin Dhillon
Harvin is a commercially minded solicitor specialising in commercial litigation matters, with particular expertise in high‑value contract disputes. His work frequently involves issues of contractual interpretation, performance, misrepresentation, and termination, as well as claims involving allegations of fraud. He also advises on a broad range of commercial and property‑related disputes. Whilst commercial litigation is Harvin’s primary practice, he also undertakes employment law work, assisting both businesses and individuals with Settlement Agreements and related advisory matters.
Harvin has significant experience of working on litigious disputes up to and at trial, as well as experience of representing both the appellant and respondent in connection with appeal hearings. In respect of ADR, Harvin has experience in managing complex, high‑value and sensitive mediations with a style that is strategic, pragmatic, and tailored to each client’s objectives, ensuring every matter is approached with precision and foresight. He also builds strong, lasting relationships with clients and regularly receives repeat instructions due to his clarity, responsiveness, and commitment to delivering commercially grounded outcomes.
Prior to joining Askews Legal LLP, Harvin completed his legal training working on litigious matters servicing a leading global insurer. Following his training, Harvin worked in London on inquest matters, which included preparations for and attendance at hearings in the Coroner’s Courts.
Outside of legal practice, Harvin has volunteered in local primary schools, working alongside teachers to help create safe, supportive learning environments with an understanding of safeguarding principles. Harvin has previously trained in Taekwondo and played Sunday League football.
